Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is planning shock move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, according to reports.
The Red Devils are in dire need of a central forward this summer following a long term injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is going through rehabilitation from a cruciate ligament knee injury coupled with reports that Wayne Rooney might fancy a move away from the Old Trafford after falling under the pecking order at United.
Reports in The Sun claim that Jose Mourinho is ready to bid for Aguero during the summer transfer window, with reports that United are ready to pay £55million for the Argentine.
It is understood that the 28-year-old feels threatened by the presence of Jesus Gabriel who has been a standout performer for City, having joined them during the last January transfer window.
Sergio Aguero is a fan favourite at the Etihad since he joined them from Atletico Madrid in 2011, churning out impressive goalscoring displays but has seen his spot come under threat by the emergence of Gabriel who just returned from a serious injury that ruled him out of action for few weeks.
Although, what remains yet to be seen is whether Pep Guardiola will be willing to allow one of his best players join their rivals, Manchester United this summer.
